TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Scrapbook photographs are black and white, 3 7/8 by 5 3/4 inches. They were scanned by the Santee-Cooper staff at 600 dpi using Adobe Photoshop (Apple Macintosh version). Two transmittal slips and three black and white 8 by 10 inch photographs "tipped in" the scrapbook were also scanned by this method. The images displayed here are JPEG images at 35 dpi in the scrapbook pages and 72 dpi in the larger view created using Adobe Photoshop 5.0 LE.
The six additional black and white 3 by 4 inch photographs and the maps on the "Santee Cooper Project" page were scanned as JPEG images at 200 dpi using an Hewlett-Packard Scan Jet 6300C scanner and HP Precision Scan Pro 2.02. The images displayed on this site are at 35 dpi and 72 dpi and were created using Adobe Photoshop 5.0 LE.
